Supplies Still Needed For Operation Backpack

Money to purchase the supplies was provided by local UPS employees.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – UPS dropped off school supplies Wednesday to the Salvation Army as part of Operation Backpack.

The UPS drivers delivered $700 worth of school supplies.

Operation Backpack is still collecting supplies until August 8th at the following locations:

McDonald’s throughout northeast Indiana
Angola: 1650 N. Wayne St. and 3021 W. Maumee St.
Auburn: 1109 W. 7th St.
Avilla: 828 E. Albion
Berne: 776 US 27 N.
Bluffton: 1130 N. Main St.
Butler: 533 W. Main St.
Churubusco: 561 S. Main St.
Columbia City: 1001 Spartan Dr.
Decatur: 410 N. 13th St.
Fort Wayne: 255 E. Coliseum, 9827 Lima Rd., 3202 St. Joe Center Rd., 6810 Bluffton Rd., 5796 Coventry Ln., 1210 Dupont Rd., 3010 W. Coliseum Blvd., 10310 Illinois Rd., 7640 S. Anthony Blvd., 1103 Goshen Rd., 6131 Stellhorn Rd., 5703 W. Jefferson Blvd., 515 W. Jefferson Blvd., 3940 E. State St., 202 E. Rudisill, 1333 W. Washington Ctr. Rd., 10420 Maysville Rd.
Fremont: 6800 N. Old US 27, 1235 E. State Rt. 120 (toll road north), 5800 N. 100 E. (toll road south)
Hartford City: 1903 N. Walnut St.
Huntington: 60 Home St.
Kendallville: 211 W. North St.
Ligonier: 1320 Lincolnway S.
New Haven: 7502 Lincoln Hwy E.
North Manchester: SR 14 and SR 13
Portland: 618 N. Meridian St.
Wabash: 1300 N. Cass St.
Warren: 7221 S. Warren Rd.

You will receive a small smoothie or beverage of your choice for your donation.

Supplies needed are:

NEW back packs, pens, pencils, notebooks, filler paper, crayons, rulers, erasers, calculators, glue bottles, glue sticks, binders, highlighters, tissue, folders, flash drives, scissors, composition books.

All of the donations are distributed in the county in which they were donated.

Operation Backpack is sponsored by the United Way, Indiana’s NewsCenter, McDonald’s and Two Men and a Truck.
