ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A truck carrying scrap sheet metal caused some lane closures on I-469 Wednesday morning.
The driver of the truck was heading southbound on I-469. Indiana State Police said the driver may have fallen asleep, failed to negotiate a turn, and struck the inside of a retaining wall.
The truck lost its load of scrap sheet metal in the crash, spilling onto the interstate.
Crews cleaned up the metal. No one was injured. One southbound lane has since reopened on I-469.
Indiana State Police officials advice taking northbound Winchester Road to westbound Ferguson Road to southbound Bluffton Road to I-469.
