1 Killed, 1 Injured In Plane Crash Near Indianapolis

GREENWOOD, Ind. (21Alive) -- A pilot of a private plane has died and a passenger inured when a plane crashed into two homes near the Greenwood airport.

< a href= http://www.theindychannel.com/news/local-news/plane-crashes-near-greenwood-airport>RTV6 reports that the plane went down around 2:15 this afternoon, scraping the roof of one house and crashing into the back of another home. The pilot was pronounced dead at the scene. Neighbors pulled the co-pilot out of the burning plane. The co-pilot was then taken to a nearby hospital.

It is believed the plane lost power shortly after takeoff at the Greenwood Municipal Airport.
