1 in 88 Kids Diagnosed with Autism

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - As new, startling statistics are released about the number of kids being diagnosed with Autism. One local group is stepping up to push for greater support, funding, and earlier detection.

Easter Seals Arc of Northeast Indiana is partnering with CVS to make sure families are able to detect the symptoms as soon as possible.

Recently the Center for Disease Control came out with new data that shows that the number of kids diagnosed with Autism is now one in 88.

For boys that number jumps even higher to one in 54.

Until recently, studies showed that one in 110 kids were being diagnosed with autism.
