INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Low-income adults who have no health insurance but access to the Internet now can download applications for the new Healthy Indiana Plan due to begin January 1st.
The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration posted the
application form today on the program's Web site. It estimates more than 550,000 people are eligible, and it will enroll up to 130,000.
The program was approved this year by the General Assembly.
Beginning next Monday, the state also will make applications available at Division of Family Resources offices, Hoosier Healthwise enrollment centers and some private social service providers.
The state is making the plan available to uninsured adults ages18-64 in households earning up to twice the federal poverty level.
