(Fort Wayne, IN) -- There's more to Harrison Square than just a baseball stadium and condos.

We've heard a lot about this vague "retail" component, but Thursday we got a glimpse of what that could be.

The top three floors of the building will be the condos, with the retail spaces at the street level.

The building will have frontage on West Jefferson to attract street and foot traffic, and will also face the ballpark.

The local developer handling these details says there is a big demand for restaurants, coffee houses and other smaller, niche stores.

But he wants to bring a new kind of eatery downtown -- one you can't find anywhere else in Fort Wayne.

Brad Sturgis\Harrison Square Retail Developer: " I don't really want to put an Applebee's-type restaurant in there, because if you want to go to an Applebee's or something, you can go to one of the five or six that are already in Fort Wayne in your own suburban neighborhood. So something that will add to the uniqueness of the project that will, hen you come downtown, come to the park and Harrison Square, it's something new."

Sturgis says a fitness center could be part of this, and that talks are continuing with other retailers to see which of them would be a good fit for the market.
