LAOTTO, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A woman injured in a DeKalb County crash Thursday has died from her injuries.

Elaine Vanderkooi, 78, of Zeeland, Mich., died Friday at a Fort Wayne hospital.

Police say a semi-truck driver, Lane Towers of Edon, Ohio, was driving west on S.R. 205, when he ran a red light at S.R. 3 near LaOtto. The truck hit Vanderkooi's Ford Explorer and another car.

Vanderkooi was initially flown to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Towers and the driver of the other car were treated at a local hospital and released.
