Suspect Tased after CVS Robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Fort Wayne police are continuing to investigate an armed robbery Sunday morning at the CVS store at the corner of South Anthony Blvd. and Paulding Road.

Police say the incident started across the street at the Walgreens store, 1701 E. Paulding Rd, when an employee reported a suspicious man, later identified as 36-year-old Aaron Mcatee, in the store. Police say the Mcatee left Walgreens after learning the pharmacy was closed.

A short time later, police say Mcatee walked into the CVS store, 5802 S. Anthony Blvd., wearing a mask, gloves and dark hooded sweatshirt. Mcatee then presented a pharmacy clerk a note demanding prescription drugs.The note also said he had a weapon, said police.

Mcatee left the store, and then got into a physical altercation with an officer.

The officer tased Mcatee , and took him into custody.

Police say no weapon has been found.
