PAULDING CO., OHIO (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A tragedy along an Ohio highway leaves one man dead.

Police say Paul D. Keeler, 63, of Paulding, and Jon Gideon, 51, of Gideon’s Wrecker Service, were replacing the wheel of Keeler's pick-up truck along U.S. 127, just north of State Road 613.

Police say a car driven by Walter Harris, 88, of Van Wert, struck Keeler as Harris was passing by. The crash threw Keeler and Gideon on to the flat-bed of the tow truck.

When paramedics arrived, they took Keeler, Gideon and Harris to Paulding County Hospital. Keeler died at the hospital, Gideon was treated for minor injuries and Harris was evaluated and released.

The crash remains under investigation. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. Police say the tow truck had its flashing yellow lights on during the crash.
