TRF Steps Off With Downtown Parade

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Mayor Tom Henry, D-Fort Wayne, may have cut the ribbon at Junk Food Alley on Friday to open Three Rivers Festival 44, but the Saturday morning parade has long been the traditional start of the week-long celebration.

Organizations from across the community are lining-up along, and will file through the Summit City starting at 10 a.m.

The parade route is: West Wayne Street & Rockhill Street to West Wayne Street & Van Buren Street..to Van Buren Street & West Main Street...to West Main Street & Fairfield Avenue...to Fairfield Avenue & West Berry Street...to West Berry Street & South Calhoun Street...to South Calhoun Street & West Superior Street.

Indiana's NewsCenter is once again featured in this year's parade. The news team will be in I Wear Pink T-shirts in recognition of breat cancer awareness.

INC will also televise the parade on 21Alive starting at 10:00. Eric Olson and Jane Hersha will host the parade, if you're unable to make it downtown.
