BLUFFTON, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A pool of mosquitos in Wells County has tested positive for the West Nile Virus.

Wells County Health Department officials say West Nile was found near Forest Glen Court in Bluffton. Officials says they have not found the virus in humans or birds.

The Wells County Health Department says mosquitos are more active between dusk and dawn and breed in stagnant water. It is recommended to eliminate areas of standing water, wear insect repellant, and limit outdoor activities after dark.

West Nile is a bird disease spread through mosquitos. If dead animals are found, it is recommended they are disposed of using gloves and plastic bags.
