BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Tailgating at Indiana University kept state excise police busy all weekend.
From Thursday night through Sunday afternoon, state excise police arrested 188 people. Most were underage drinking; but, police say, fake identification and adults providing minors with alcohol were also prevalent.
The bulk of the arrests came Saturday, before the Hoosiers played Ball State in a football game.
Police report 110 arrests in the tailgate lot, described as a one-day record for a in-state university.
And of minors busted with alcohol, eight were under the age of 18--including one 15-year-old child.
Excise worked throughout the state to crackdown on underage drinking with their Intensified College Enforcement program.
ICE is an initiative at Ball State, Butler, Indiana, Indiana State, Notre Dame and Purdue to reduce underage drinking.
