FAIRMOUNT, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Flood waters in Grant County are to blame in a crash that killed a Kokomo teen.
Blake Taylor, 19, was driving back to Ball State University when police say he drove through standing water on SR 26. Taylor's car left the roadway, flipped and landed in a flooded field on its top.
Authorities believe Taylor was submerged in 5 feet of water for nearly 12 minutes before help arrived.
Taylor was taken to a Marion hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Grant County coroner will determine cause of death.
