FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Fort Wayne City Council will hold a public hearing tonight on the city's proposed condemnation of Aqua Indiana.
Residents have an opportunity to make their voices their comments on the planned take over. Those who have pre-registered through the city clerk's office will speak first. Those who have not pre-registered will then follow. Each person will be given two minutes to speak.
City Council is expected to decide Aqua's fate at a later city council meeting.
Officials with Aqua Indiana argue the city is moving too fast towards condemnation; and that the city's acquisition of Aqua would result in higher water bills for city utilities customers.
The public hearing starts at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in council chambers at Citizens Square.
