HU President Receives Sagamore of the Wabash

HUNTINGTON, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Huntington University's president has been awarded with one of Indiana's top honors.

G. Blair Dowden, Ed.D., was given the Sagamore of the Wabash by State Sen. Jim Banks, R-Wabash, on behalf of former Gov. Mitch Daniels, R-Ind., at a ceremony Friday. The award is the highest the government can give. Daniels chose Dowden for his contributions to education in the Hoosier State.

Dowden has been president of Huntington University for 22 years, and will retire at the end of the school year.
