Fiscal Cliff Delays Tax Filing Forms

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Wednesday marks the beginning of tax filing, as the "fiscal cliff" problem delayed the federal government on its tax prep.

The Internal Revenue Service warns taxpayers that not all forms will be ready for tax filing.

Local tax experts says roughly 30 different tax forms are still not ready for tax filing.

"These changes were made late in the game," Jeffery A. Sanderson, CPA, of Baden, Gage & Schroeder says. "As these forms become available later in the game, we've got that much more compression; where you've got to get that much more work in a shorter amount of time."

The nearly month-long delay could affect farmers the most, Sanderson says
