FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - The Blue Ball Golf Open gave Parkview Foundation with substantial support on Wednesday in the fight against prostate cancer.
Blue Ball Open presented Parkview Foundation a $12,000 check that will be donated to the Parkview Research Center for prostate cancer research.
"I am delighted," 21Alive's Kent Hormann says. Hormann, a prostate cancer survivor, also serves as co-chair of the Blue Ball Open. "My fears were put at ease by the skilled surgeons and nurses at Parkview and its state-of-the-art facilities. I am pleased some of the proceeds from the Blue Ball Open can help."
The Blue Ball Open is a golf event that raises funds for prostate cancer awareness and education. One hundred percent of the annual money raised go towards outreach programs and support for men diagnosed with prostate cancer across Northeast Indiana.
