ALBION, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A furry new resident has moved in at the Black Pine Animal Sanctuary.
Mamie, a black bear, was introduced to the animal sanctuary Tuesday. Mamie's owner voluntarily gave her up after 22 years as a pet.
Crews from Black Pine traveled to southern Ohio to pick Mamie up.
New state laws in Ohio restrict private ownership of exotic animals, leaving owners to seek new, out-of-state homes for their untraditional pets.
