Coliseum Won't Bid For 2014 Girls State Finals (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum is out of the running for the 2014 IHSAA Girls Basketball State Finals.

Memorial Coliseum will host another event that day, Mar. 8, general manager Randy Brown says.

The Coliseum hosted the 2010 and 2011 girls state finals, when the then-known Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis had its own scheduling conflicts.

Terre Haute hosted the 2012 finals, and will be the site of Saturday's four state championships.

The IHSAA awards the state finals one year at a time, Jason Wille, IHSAA sports information director says. Memorial Coliseum could again pursue the 2015 state finals.
