Lilly Endowment Awards Millions In Grants To Indiana Colleges (VIDEO)

INDIANAPOLIS (21Alive) - The Lilly Endowment awarded $62.7 million in grants to 39 Indiana universities on Thursday in an effort to help college graduates find jobs.

The grants are part of Lilly Endowment's decade-long Initiative to Promote Opportunities Through Educational Collaborations, designed to expand internships and open more employee placement offices.

Each school submitted proposal for the grants; and monetary awards are based off enrollment.

Here are a list of schools receiving grants and their amounts (area schools in bold):

  • Ball State University Foundation - $3,000,000
  • Bethel College - $868,021

  • Calumet College of St. Joseph - $999,999

  • Goshen College - $1,000,000
  • Grace College - $1,000,000
  • Hanover College - $998,408
  • Holy Cross College - $1,000,000
  • Huntington University - $1,000,000
  • Indiana Institute of Technology (Indiana Tech) - $1,000,000
  • Indiana State University Foundation - $3,000,000
  • Indiana University Foundation - $5,000,000
  • Indiana Wesleyan University - $3,000,000
  • Ivy Tech Foundation - $4,874,264
  • Manchester University - $1,000,000
  • Marian University - $1,000,000
