Police Seek Public's Help In Finding Hospital TV Thief (VIDEO & PHOTOS)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - The Fort Wayne Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a man suspected in the theft of two large televisions from the St. Joseph Hospital cafeteria.

Police say two 50-inch LG LCD televisions were stolen around 10 p.m. on Jan. 31. Hospital employees noticed the televisions were missing from the wall mounts, according to a police report.

Surveillance images provided by police show a man carrying a bag with what is believed to be a television inside. The suspect is described a a black man wearing a black and red puffy coat and black stocking cap at the time of theft, according to police.

Hospital employees tell police they saw the suspect in the cafeteria "at least a dozen times," throughout the day; and that a hospital employee spoke with the suspect on an elevator shortly before the televisions were noticed missing

Anyone who may have information on the suspect or the theft is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP or call the Fort Wayne Police Department at 427-1222.
