Animal Care & Control Investigates Dog Cruelty Case

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control is asking for the public's help to identify the owner of an abused dog.

Animal Care & Control launched an investigation after the dog was picked up in the 2800 block of Barr St a few weeks ago.

The dog weighed only 19 lbs. when it was found, and had infections on its paws, hind quarters and eyes.

The dog, who Animal Care & Control, has named Ranger, has since been nursed back to help and is nearly ready for adoption.
