Former PTA President Sentenced For Stealing Money

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - A woman who admitted to stealing thousands of dollars from a Fort Wayne Community Schools PTA will serve jail time.

Susan Rothenberger, 45, of Fort Wayne was sentenced to 2 years in jail on Monday after pleading guilty to felony theft. She was the president of the PTA at Arlington Elementary School.

Court documents show Rothenberger stole more than $24,000 while serving as treasurer.

Rothenberger was also ordered to repay the money she stole.
