ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - One person is dead, another in critical condition and two others are in serious condition after the car they were in sped off the road and rolled into a ditch Sunday afternoon along I-469 near New Haven .
The driver was identified as 29-year-old Christopher N. Carmin of Hoagland. Carmin was not wearing his seatbelt and found ejected from the vehicle.
According to witnesses a Chevy Blazer was traveling northbound when Carmin suddenly lost control of the vehicle.
The truck then proceeded off the road and rolled down a long steep embankment.
Four people were taken to a nearby hospital.
The initial cause of the accident is believed to be mechanical malfunction.
