Dream Wedding: Garrett Couple returns Home

By Web News

Home is more than where the heart is for one Garrett family. Millions of people watched Kacy and Jordan's dream wedding on national television, now, it's back home to reality. Nicole Pence sat down with the family exclusively.

Neither of them had ever been to New York, let alone flown on a plane. But, in February, "Live with Regis and Kelly " picked Jordan Edsall and Kacy Hardenbrook from small-town Garret, Indiana as this year's wedding couple. This story may be difficult to watch.

Kacy Edsall/Bride: "You cannot even explain it. It was more than we ever imagined."

Jordan Edsall/Groom: "It was real for us. It was our wedding, and I wasn't thinking about everyone watching. I was thinking about my wife."

Kacy: "They are the same people on camera as they are off. You saw the real Regis, the real Kelly the whole week."

Jordan Edsall/Groom: "People do come up and say, didn't I see you get married on TV?"

The Couple's original wedding was put on hold last August, after an unexplainable gas leak, caused Kacy's mother's house to explode, severely burning Kacy, and her two young daughters, Hanna and Rylea.

Kacy Edsall/Bride: "Some days I just don't have the motivation. I just don't want to deal with this anymore. It's been six months, when will it stop."

Three-year-old Hanna was still in Shriners Hospital in Cincinnati when the couple got married.
But, she watched mommy and daddy every day on TV.

Hanna/3 years Old: "Hanna, do you know Mommy and Daddy are married now? Yeah. Do you think that's cool? Yeah!."

With 12-hour days of pampering and wedding planning over, the two say it's back to reality. Every morning, Jordan dresses each girl in her compression suits, and in the afternoon it's off to physical therapy with many more surgeries to come. But, they have the memories, a four-carat diamond ring and a slew of pictures to take them back to New York.

Jordan Edsall/Groom: "No, it doesn't define us at all. We've been through a lot already. And, as much as a great experience that this is, it doesn't define us. It does characterize us a little, gives us something to talk about."

Kacy Edsall/Bride: "It definitely brought us all closer. You can't thank everyone enough."

The "TV crew" still sends toys to the little girls. The couple has yet to cash in on a 25-thousand dollar registry to JC-Penny's. The entire family will head to Disneyworld in the fall for an all-expense paid “Honeymoon.”
