Two Killed in Indianapolis House Fire

By Peter Ambrose

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Two people died in a house fire in Indianapolis that a relative believes was started when a kerosene heater exploded.

Indianapolis Fire Department spokesman Greg Harris says a woman
is hospitalized in critical condition and three other people had minor injuries.

The relative said 84-year-old James Maye and 44-year-old Jacqueline K. Love died in the fire.

Harris says the wood-frame home on the city's north side was in
flames when firefighters arrived around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Two Indianapolis police officers were treated for smoke
inhalation after entering the home to rescue victims.
