The Barack Obama campaign held a grand opening this morning for its Fort Wayne office. Supporters gathered at the downtown headquarters on Columbia Street before conducting a voter registration canvas. Volunteers came from Michigan and Ohio to lend their expertise.
“It's the best investment we ever did was come down here,” said Michigan volunteer Janet Emmert. “I've been working very hard in Michigan as well, doing telephone banking for Senator Obama and talking to a lot of people across the country and just trying to spread the word that Senator Obama is going to be a wonderful president.”
The Fort Wayne field office will be in operation through the May 6th Indiana primary.
