INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Voters are casting ballots in Indiana this week even though the state's primary election isn't until May 6th.
The Indiana Secretary of State's office says about 43,000 people
have already voted in person and by mail. The early voting runs until noon on May 5th - the day before the election. Dates and times for early voting vary by county, but some clerks offer Saturday and Sunday hours, too.
The Indiana campaigns for Sensators Hillary Clinton and Barack
Obama are urging Democrats to vote early, and the presidential
candidates' Web sites allow voters to easily locate their early voting locations and hours.
The rest of Indiana's 4 million registered voters may opt for
casting ballots the traditional way - heading to the polls between
6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Primary Day.
