FORT WAYNE, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- The woman charged with killing an I-P-F-W student will not face the death penalty if convicted.

Allen County prosecutor Karen Richards tells Indiana Newscenter's Jeff Neumeyer that she will not seek the death penalty against Tina Morris, who police say stabbed I-P-F-W student Lola Martinez.

Morris is charged with murder, felony murder and auto theft.

Court documents say Morris told Fort Wayne police she didn't like a comment that Martinez made about her daughter, who shared a room at student housing with Morris's daughter.

Martinez was murdered in her dorm room.
