FORT WAYNE, IN (Indiana's Newscenter)---

Some of our areas finest young adults were rewarded for their efforts this week.

The YMCA and Wells Fargo Bank hosted the 12th annual Celebration of Youth Awards ceremony, emceed by Indiana's Newscenter's Mary Collins.

Hundreds of area high school junior and seniors from Allen and Whitley counties were nominated by their schools administrators and teachers.

Selection was based on commitment to exceptional volunteerism and to the YMCA values

Winners received $1,500 in scholarship money, and engraved plaque and a year membership to the YMCA.
