Toddler Killed in a Hit & Run

This is the section of Winter Street in Fort Wayne where a 2-year-old boy was struck and killed by a car.

FORT WAYNE, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- A toddler was killed in a hit and run Friday evening and now Fort Wayne Police are looking for the driver of a blue SUV who ran over the 2 year-old boy.

Police responded to a call at the 4100 block of Winter Street at around 7:30 p.m. According to police, the boy was walking across the street when the SUV struck the child and kept driving.

Medics transported the child to the hospital in critical condition where he was later pronounced dead of his injuries.

The boys name is being with held until his family is notified.
