FORT WAYNE, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- It's the largest annual one day food drive in the nation.
United States postal carriers in cities across the northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio joined their counterparts across the country to collect non-perishable food items today to help people in need.
Residents left food items near their mailbox for carriers to pick up for the food drive today..
For the National Association of Letter Carriers union, it's the 16th annual event organized to help feed resupply community food banks.
