Teacher Arrested on Sexual Misconduct Charges

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - An Indianapolis teacher is in jail after she was charged with having sex with a 15-year-old boy.

Thirty-seven-year-old Sheila Vasquez Indianapolis was being held on $30,000 bond last night (Wednesday) in Marion County Jail on preliminary felony charges of sexual misconduct with a minor.

Vasquez is a teacher at the Renaissance School, an alternative
school for at-risk students in Warren Township on the city's east side.

Police say Vasquez arranged a special reward lunch with the student as a cover for them to have sex.
