FORT WAYNE, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- While many retailers around the country have struggled in this economic environment, one Northeast Indiana business is seeing a different trend.

You've likely heard of Shindigz, based in South Whitley. Their slogan is "Where the world comes to party," and they literally do with business worldwide, in 55 countries.

They offer an interesting view on how families and schools are handling gas prices and tough economic times.

The company has been around for 82 years, so they've seen all kinds of economic downturns, yet the party business holds up well.

They saw business jump 30 percent in April compared to last year. They have seen schools cut back in terms of graduation and proms, but not the individual families.
