Swinging is something that is usually associated with the 70's but you might be surprised to learn that this lifestyle is alive and well in Fort Wayne. Club Utopia is a member's only club where people meet, socialize and get together for sex. These clubs are not illegal in Indiana or in many other states as long as all who participate are over the age of 21 and all activity is consensual. The internet is full of websites that cater to this lifestyle and members of the club are encouraged not to talk about club activities outside the premises.
When members decide to have a "session" they may invite others to join them, or they may keep thier activity private. Many people are shocked that this lifestyle is as popular as ever and happening in thier community. There are few statistics about the effects of this activity on marriages and relationships but a recent study shows that strong relationships remain strong and weak relationships are furhter weakened. A new network series called "Swingtown" debuted last week. It remains to be seen if this will alter opinions about the "swing" lifestyle. But for now, Club Utopia operates out of public view and public judgement.
