FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -A judge sentenced the mother who pleaded guilty to helping hide the body of her infant son in a Fort Wayne home.

Our partners in news at the Journal Gazette tell us 23 year-old Ashley Snowden was sentenced to 5 and a half to 15 years in a Michigan State penitentiary.

That's because police say they believe Snowden and her boyfriend John Gonzales were living in Port Huron, Michigan when the 18 month-old died in 2005.

They later moved to Fort Wayne where police discovered the body of the baby wrapped in plastic in a storage container in December.

Gonzales is charged with open murder and child abuse. His trial is set for August 20.
