Three and a Half Hour Standoff Ends Peacefully in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Police have arrested a Fort Wayne man who barricaded himself inside a south side home overnight.

Officials say a woman called police claiming her ex-boyfriend, 31-year old Jason Rogers, had battered her at a home on S. Cornell Circle around 11 Tuesday night.

When police arrived at the scene, authorities say Rogers barricaded himself and three children inside the home.

Police then surrounded the home and tried to contact Rogers by phone, but were unsuccessful.

Then around 2:30 A.M., Rogers left the house with the children and surrendered to authorities.

He was taken to Allen County Lockup.

Police are investigating the incidednt
