Our economy continues to struggle, the U.S. dollar is decreasing in value and gas prices are still climbing.
Indiana's 6th District Congressman, Republican Mike Pence, says there's one thing the country can begin doing that would help.

Congressman Pence just returned from Israel where he met with both Israeli and Palestinian leaders, to try and find a solution to their conflicts.
The situation there, experts say, is one reason why gasoline prices continue to rise.

Pence says he left israel believing both sides are committed to negotiations but he remains skeptical that either side is ready for an agreement.
One thing he is certain about.
His belief that our nation needs to begin off-shore drilling now.
He says it's time for democrats to quote, "quit introducing new legislation that are more like gimmicks and start passing legislation that gives the American people more access to American oil."

Congressman Pence says with advancements in oil drilling technology it's possible to drill far from the shoreline in an environmentally friendly way.
