EDINBURGH, Ind. (AP) - Authorities are searching for an inmate who escaped from a minimum security prison at Edinburgh.

Officials at the Edinburgh Correctional Facility discovered 27-year-old Dustin Smith of Danville was missing during a routine prisoner count at noon Saturday. He was serving a sentence for burglary. It wasn't clear how he escaped.

Police suspect Smith may be driving a teal 1996 Plymouth Voyager

Smith is described as white and 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build. He has a shaved head, brown eyes and multiple tattoos including some on his head.
