FORT WAYNE, IN (Indiana's News Center)---Students at Hamilton Junior and Senior High School will have a new principal when they arrive at school in a couple of weeks.
Carl Swift has been appointed interim principal at the school with a pay of $250 per day.
There is still no word on why Principal Kenneth Webb is still on 'leave' or whether or not he'll return.
Swift was principal at Hamilton in 1955. Before getting the call to be interim principal Swift was and still is on the board for the Steuben County Community Foundation. He also dabbled in selling real estate.
He has no ambition to stay on at the school for the entire year.

Carl Swift: " No, I'm only an interim and as soon as they are able to get everything ready to advertise and interview then I will be glad to assist anything I can but I do not intend to be on staff. I think they need someone younger permanent. They got a good staff but they need a coordinator. Some young person would do a better job than I. "

There have been no charges filed against Webb and school board members would not comment on the status of Webb's 'leave'.
