FORT WAYNE, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- The developers of the Harrison Square condominiums are rolling out a new marketing effort to try and spur sales that are lagging behind projections.

We wanted to know what you find in other Fort Wayne condo additions that are doing well.

You can't put them all in one category, but the Harrison Square condos, that still haven't been built, would be considered “outside the box” in Fort Wayne.

Covington Creek off Covington Road in Aboite Township is set back in the woods, offering a park-like atmosphere.

Virtually all the 207 units are occupied.

They offer tennis courts, four swimming pools and three ponds in a price range between 90 and 170-thousand dollars.

We caught up with a woman who has lived there for two years, and asked her if she thought the Harrison Square condo concept has a chance to succeed.

Cheryl Koenemann/Covington Creek Resident: " You hope that it will, but I don't know. Like us, we like this, it's really quiet. That would probably be my thing is the noise factor and just living somewhere downtown. Maybe those condos will be more for like young people."

The price range on the Harrison Square condos is much higher, in the 175 to 350-thousand dollar amounts.

But they are being targeted to a higher income group, folks who love baseball and being close to the Embassy Theater and other downtown attractions.

Will that sell in Fort Wayne, that’s the big question?

There is no track record for downtown condos in Fort Wayne, so Harrison Square is the test case, and for now anyway, sales are slow.
