FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The end has come for the home of the Fort Wayne Wizards.

The team plays its final regular season game EVER at the "Castle" tonight as they wrap up a series against South Bend. They end the season on the road over Labor Day weekend with little hope of reaching the Midwest League playoffs.

To send off the Memorial Stadium, which opened in 1993, the Wizards have brought in local Olympic gold medalist Lloy Ball to throw the ceremonial first pitch. Miniature replicas of the stadium will also be given out. Former Norwell High School baseball star Jarrod Parker also pitches at the stadium tonight as he plays for South Bend.

The Wizards move to the new baseball park at Harrison Square next spring. Their new name, if there will be one, has not yet been announced.
