By Peter Neumann

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- A man in a gold car is the subject of a search by New Haven and Fort Wayne Police in what they say was an attempted abduction. The incident happened Monday evening, but police released details only today.

New Haven Police recruited the assistance of Fort Wayne Police to a location in the 17-hundred block of Old Maumee Avenue where a parent told New Haven Police that a man driving a gold car had attempted to flag down the women's two daughters who were riding their bicycles in the area near Omni Source. The mother said the man asked the girls for directions, and that the girls noticed the man was not wearing any pants nor underwear.

Police say the man exited his car and grabbed one of the girls by the arm and atempted to get her into the trunk of his car. The girl managed to flee unharmed.

The suspect is described as a white man, bald, with a dark-colored goatee. The man has a tatoo on his left arm that may have been a dragon.
