Local Food Banks Need Your Help

By Scott Sarvay

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The current state of the economy is taking its toll on area food banks. Beginning at 4 p.m., the United Way of DeKalb County is holding an emergency food drive to help re-stock the food banks.

They will accept canned goods, paper products and other non-perishable products at a number of locations throughout the county.

The emergency food drive will run through Monday morning and this is a good reminder that all area food banks are in need and would gladly accept donations.
