FORT WAYNE, Ind (Indiana's News Center)---The controversial Fort Wayne Community Schools $500 million dollar building project was over a year ago. But some candidates running for school board are hoping to win because of their involvement with "Code Blue Schools", and are even using it as a platform.
Evert Mol is running for the F.W.C.S board seat for District 5 against incumbent Steve Corona.
Mol was the un-official leader of the remonstrance against F.W.C.S's $500 million dollar building project.
Evert Mol: " The most important thing to say is that I didn't stop the project. 26-thousand tax payers stopped the project. I just gave them a means to make their opinions and their voice heard and they stopped the project, I didn't."
Mol hopes that the name recognition from the remonstrance will help him win a seat on the board.
