FORT WAYNE, Ind (Indiana's NewsCenter)-
Twas the night before "Black Friday," when all through the stores,
The shelves are stocked and dead bolts on the doors.
The flat screen tv's were hung with care,
Consumers are anxious, hoping employees would soon be there.

The diehards were nestled all snug in their tents,
While visions of a new Nintendo WII danced in their heads.
But before you rush the stores looking for the deal of the year,
Here are some shopping safety tips so you have no fear.

Scammers and thieves will be looking to steal your i-d,
So keeping your guard is very important indeed.
Watch your back pocket and keep all of your reciepts,
Sometimes that little piece of paper is all a thief needs.

Know what you are getting, read the seller's description closely,
It's your money so ask a lot of questions, it's ok to be nosey.
It's always a good idea to read the fine print,
Words life refurbished, vintage or close out may indicate the product's condition is less than mint.

The lines will be long so you may have an extended stay,
So have fun and enjoy this consumer holiday.
Some of the deals will be just right,
Happy "Black Friday" to all, and to all a good-night!
