STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - From Black Friday to another local holiday tradition is set to kick off tomorrow.

The Giant Toboggan at Pokagon State Park opens every year on the first Friday after Thanksgiving.

Thousands get the thrill of their lives each year on the icy slide.

The Weaver Family rented rooms at Pokagon Inn just to be there for opening day.

Middlebury, Indiana Resident Bill Weaver says, “The ride it’s awesome. It's a rush you get about 45 miles per hour and it's a quarter mile track so it really is fun, it's refrigerated you don't need snow so we live it. We love it.”

The toboggan's open from 5 to 10 Fridays, 10 to 10 Saturdays and 10 to 5 Sundays. The toboggan run is open through the last weekend in February.
