FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Allen County’s resources director has been instructed to do more research to establish salary ranges for professional employees and managers in county government.

Allen County Council Members today ordered Brian Dumford to track down the salaries paid in six comparably sized counties in the Hoosier State.

That data will be combined with other information, including salaries obtained from an Internet web site, called payscale.com.

The goal is to establish more equitable pay for professional managers in county.

The council is discussing pay for elected officials, right now.
