FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A Fort Wayne man charged with killing a woman while police say he was driving drunk went before a judge Monday on 14 criminal counts.
64-year-old Donald Marshall faces charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, causing death.
He also faces charges related to injuries suffered by two other victims, and for leaving the scene of an accident.
On November 30th, police say Marshall was speeding when he rammed into another car at a red light at Wayne Trace and Oxford Streets.
Deborah Howell, who was a passenger in the car that was struck, died at the scene.
Police say Marshall got out and ran, but officers later tracked him down at his house.
A hospital test revealed his blood alcohol level was more than four times the legal limit.
Marshall was convicted of a previous drunk driving incident in April of 2006.
He will be assigned a trial date on December 31st.
