FORT WAYNE, Ind (Indiana's NewsCenter)-The clean-up process following the ice storm has begun, and insurance claims are piling up faster than checks can be printed.

A brief warm-up this weekend melted the ice and snow left behind and residents can now better assess the damage.
Sam Till, Junior is a State Farm Insurance Agent and he has seen a steady influx of claims since the storm hit that Friday morning.
Till says most claims have been minor.
Debris from trees, a few claims for tree limbs going through a roof or the siding of a home, sump pump malfunctions because of a lack of electricity and frozen or burst pipes causing water damage.
Auto claims include busted windshields or windows from trees and weather related accidents.
So far till says he's received about 50-claims and that number will continue rising in the next few weeks.

Typically, homeowners insurance does cover damage to homes from trees and a certain amount of debris removal.
Water damage is also covered, whether its burst pipes, or sump pumps not running because of lost power.
